Recently we have noticed some of our competitors advertising services such as Radon Mitigation and Asbestos Abatement. In fact, one firm advised in a radio interview that they perform asbestos abatement. This is of particular concern to us, as these specialized services require Pennsylvania State Licensing, which requires education, training and certification mandated by the State of Pennsylvania, that these cleaning companies simply do not have.
As a company, we generally shy away from this kind of post, however those of you who know us know how seriously we take the safety of the indoor environment of our customers. In this situation, where there is potential for hazardous materials to be spread in a living area through improper handling, we feel a responsibility to our community to shed light on these concerns. We are your neighbors and, as such, feel compelled to warn you when you may be being decieved. We simply could not, in good concience, look fellow members of our community in the face, knowing that something like this was going on.
As a company that is Properly Licensed in Asbestos Abatement and Radon Mitigation, we follow a very strict set of guidelines and requirements set in place to protect homeowners from these hazardous materials. As well, our processes and procedures at jobs are audited and under scrutiny by the State. We are required to notify the State on any asbestos abatement or Radon Mitigation System install. In other words, when you contract with Disaster Blaster, we do it right, and legally. The specialized skills and knowledge necessary to perform Asbestos Abatement and Radon Mitigation makes clear that they are not services that should be left to a simple “cleaning company”.
